Abstract - Group Show Benalla Art Gallery

Marc is also showing in the group show ABSTRACT, at Benalla Art Gallery, which is running from 18th July – 26th October 2014.

The show looks at the work of six Australian artists – Sydney Ball, Dale Frank, Marc Freeman, Camille Hannah, Kirra Jamison and Noël Skrzypczak.

Congratulations to all represented artists from This Is No Fantasy and Nellie Castan Projects, for a most satisfying and high standard exhibition, which coincided with Melbourne Art Fair 2014.

Dianne Tanzer, Nicola Stein and Myself were delighted to collaborate together, this group exhibition, which showcased artists with various approaches to landscape, portraiture and abstraction.

Nellie Castan Projects will be attending Volta Basel as a VIP. Congratulations to This is not a Fantasy who will be exhibiting Marian Drew and Jacqui Stockdale at Volta Basel this year.

Hong Kong Art Fair is held in May each year and this year Nellie attended. Congratulations Natasha Bieniek represented by Diane Tanzer Gallery + Projects and all the Australian galleries who exhibited at Basel Hong Kong this year.

19th Biennale of Sydney opened this month with a variety of events and arts parties. Nellie Castan Projects was excited to be at the launch of Bindi Cole’s We all need forgiveness at the Art Gallery of New South Wales. This multi-channel video installation will be on exhibition until the close of the Biennale, 9 June, 2014.

This month Nellie visited New York to attend the prestigious Armory Art Week which included Volta, Spring Break and Independent. She was fortunate enough to have attend the final show at the Marcel Breuer Building for the Whitney Biennale before it moves to its new premises. This biennale saw the inclusion of the first Australian artist to be curated, Ricky Swallow, which was fantastic.

Nellie Castan Projects has launched this month with a new office space in South Yarra and projects manager Denise. We have a busy year of activities ahead of us which includes traveling to overseas art fairs and curating group exhibitions.
